Integral colour is different from a paint coat
Ordinary paint is applied as a separate surface coating. Integral coloured render has no separate decorative paint layer in the specified wall finish, although repairs, substrate issues or other failures remain possible. The distinction is the location of the colour, not a claim that every coloured render is indestructible.
Synthetic iron oxide shade families
Earth-toned synthetic iron oxide pigments are a practical starting point for terracotta, oxide red, ochre yellow, sandstone, earthy brown and deeper graphite colour directions. The appearance is affected by grey OPC cement, aggregate grading, water level, thickness, surface texture, illumination and curing conditions.
Design textures and sample-panel approval
VARNA RENDER can be discussed in refined matte, rustic trowelled texture and optional mica-accent directions. Digital shades are illustrative; the final appearance should be approved on a physical wall panel using the intended materials and application method.
Specifying coloured exterior plaster
An architect should define substrate condition, thickness, colour range, finish technique, movement-joint treatment, moisture details and site mock-up acceptance. Colour integration alone does not correct active water leakage or substrate movement.
Frequently asked questions
Can grey OPC cement produce bright white plaster?
Grey cement influences the base colour, so pale or white shades require separate material and sample decisions.
Will oxide pigments give identical results on every wall?
Not necessarily. Mixing, texture, base cement and curing affect the observed shade.
Does coloured render need exterior paint?
In the intended VARNA RENDER finish, the colour is integrated into the plaster and a separate decorative paint film is not part of the system.
